Chinacake in Ghana for Global Justice Now

Our director Hannah, has just returned from a ‘one gal’ film assignment in Ghana. Commissioned by Global Justice Now to produce a series of short films based on the ‘freedom of seeds’.

Dozens of organisations around the world have joined together to call for an end to the G7’s New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition. The New Alliance provides aid money from rich countries like the UK to help big business invest in African agriculture. Instead of supporting small-scale farmers, the scheme benefits multinational companies.

The small-scale farmers’ right to store and share seeds, in countries like Ghana, is under threat:
